At the Key West World Championships, Race World Offshore prioritizes marine wildlife safety with the support of the Turtle Hospital and expert marine wildlife observers. Throughout both race days, observers closely monitored the course for dolphins and sea turtles, ensuring their well-being and calling for stoppages if necessary. With choppy waters and poor visibility, careful attention was crucial. On day one of racing, 12 dolphin sightings and 2 sea turtle sightings were recorded inside and around the
track, while on day two, 2 dolphin sightings and 9 sea turtle sightings were recorded, with all turtles diving before becoming a factor.
