Reach for Greatness, a student-founded nonprofit based in Key West, awarded $50,000 in scholarships to 14 local students, sending them to life-changing summer programs across the country.
Founded last year by Key West High School junior Violet Jangraw, the nonprofit helps ambitious students access educational, leadership, STEM, arts, and service opportunities that are often financially out of reach, long before their senior year.
Most scholarships are focused on graduating seniors, but there are incredible students doing extraordinary things long before that. We wanted to create opportunities for students now, while they are building confidence, leadership, and discovering what they're capable of.

"There truly isn't any other thing in the world that brings me as much joy as when I'm filming." A storyteller and aspiring director, Fabiola recently wrote, directed, and starred in her first short film.
A deaf student pursuing engineering, Lexi hopes to expand diversity in STEM and open doors for others following the same path.
Nathalie plans to pursue a future in law and government service, attending the National Student Leadership Conference at Georgetown.
