KEY WEST, FL — Race World Offshore (RWO) today announced an expanded partnership with XINSURANCE, naming the specialty insurance leader as the title partner of the newly designated XINSURANCE UIM World Championship Series and as a presenting sponsor of the Key West Offshore World Championships, the sport’s marquee finale set for Nov. 1-8, 2026.
The XINSURANCE UIM World Championship Series spans three world championship classes — UIM Offshore Class I, UIM Offshore Class II and APBA Super Cat — racing across RWO’s 2026 national schedule in Atlantic City, Michigan City and Clearwater before the title-deciding finale in Key West. The agreement marks the first season of RWO’s multi-year licensing partnership with the Union Internationale Motonautique (UIM) and the first time these three classes will compete for designated UIM world championships in North America.
XINSURANCE also returns as a sponsor of two of the season’s national events, the Great Lakes Grand Prix in Michigan City and the Clearwater Offshore Nationals. The expanded relationship places the XINSURANCE name on the championship series banner across the full season while keeping each host event’s identity intact.
Enhancing the broadcast at every stop, the XINSURANCE helicopter will fly each event of the series and deliver live aerial coverage to the RWO livestream. Fans can watch every event live on RWO’s Facebook and YouTube channels and on the XINSURANCE Sports YouTube channel.
“Bringing XINSURANCE aboard in the inaugural year of our UIM agreement is a milestone for this series,” said Larry Bleil, president of Race World Offshore. “For the first time ever, three classes — UIM Offshore Class I, UIM Offshore Class II and APBA Super Cat — will race for designated UIM world championships, with each champion honored at the UIM Annual Awards Ceremony in Monaco. To have a partner like XINSURANCE help carry that banner from the season opener all the way to the finale here in Key West means a great deal to our drivers, owners and crews.”
“XINSURANCE has been proud to support offshore racing and the athletes who push this sport forward, and we’re excited to broaden that commitment this season,” said Rick J. Lindsey, president and CEO of XINSURANCE. “Lending our name to the XINSURANCE UIM World Championship Series and serving as a presenting sponsor of the Key West Offshore World Championships, alongside RWO and the UIM, is a natural next step for us. We look forward to a great season and to everything we can build together in the years ahead.”
The Key West Offshore World Championships is the most popular offshore powerboat racing event in the United States, drawing competitors, teams and spectators from across North America and abroad. Under RWO’s UIM agreement, the event counts as two championship rounds and serves as the season finale for all three world championship classes.
