Race World Offshore is proud to announce its return to Michigan City, Indiana, July 31 – August 2, 2026, building on the momentum of last year’s record-setting Xinsurance Great Lakes Grand Prix, which saw 70 race teams take to the water and delivered one of the most exciting and unified race weekends on the national tour.
The confirmation of the 2026 event marks year two of a planned five-year annual run, reinforcing Michigan City’s position as a premier destination for offshore powerboat racing and a cornerstone venue on the Race World Offshore schedule.
Coming off a historic first year, the combination of tremendous fan support, a first-class race site, and a strong partnership with city and county leadership has created a powerful foundation for long-term growth.

Having July 31 through August 2, 2026, on the calendar as part of this five-year vision allows us to continue building something truly special and deliver an even bigger and better experience for the teams, sponsors, and community.”
The continued support of Michigan City and LaPorte County has been instrumental in establishing the event’s long-term trajectory and expanding its impact on regional tourism, local businesses, and national media exposure.

With preparations already underway, fans can expect the return of the high-energy Race Village, nationally recognized race production, and the sport’s top teams competing along the Lake Michigan shoreline.
The July 27 – August 2, 2026 race week will build on the success of year one — expanding fan engagement, enhancing on-site experiences, and continuing to grow Michigan City into one of offshore racing’s marquee summer events.
